Machine Polishing, you might think to yourself what is it?
Over time, paintwork can develop swirl marks, light scratches, oxidation and surface dullness caused by improper washing techniques, environmental exposure or general wear. Machine polishing works by safely removing a microscopic layer of the clear coat — the top protective layer of your paint — to level out surface defects and restore optical clarity. The process involves progressive stages of polishing, starting with more aggressive compounds and pads (for correction) and finishing with finer products (for refinement). This ensures that the paint is not only corrected but also enhanced to a deep, reflective, high-gloss finish. Depending on the paint condition and the level of correction desired, the service can range from a single-stage enhancement polish (light correction and gloss restoration) to a multi-stage correction (targeting deeper defects and achieving near-perfect clarity).
As your vehicle is our passion, prior to any polishing work the whole vehicle is chemically decontaminated to remove any road contaminates. This involves a comprehensive safe wash including a full safe wash followed by a full Iron and Tar & Glue removal of the body work. This is followed by a clay bar treatment to ensure that paint work is the cleanest it can possibly be. Once this process is completed, this is where we show all our experience to achieve that mirror finish with various style polishing pads and compounds to get that desired finish.
Once any polishing work has been carried out, it’s very important to add some protection to that glossy paintwork to seal the surface, stabilize the finish, and provide a strong shield against UV exposure, chemical etching, and environmental fallout, ensuring long-lasting gloss retention. With all our correction packages a 6-12 month hydrophobic wax is applied free of charge, unless you upgrade to a ceramic coating package, either way get your paintwork protected!
What is a Ceramic Coating? What are the benefits?

For professional detailers, ceramic coatings are an ideal finishing step after paint correction. They lock in the polished finish, amplify gloss and provide customers with long-term protection that far surpasses traditional waxes or sealants. In essence, a professionally applied ceramic coating offers the ultimate combination of aesthetic enhancement, surface protection, and easy maintenance — helping vehicles stay cleaner, shinier and better protected for years. Many detailers complement ceramic coatings with maintenance top-ups sprays, ensuring the surface remains slick and protected over time in between maintenance washes.
Once a ceramic coating has cured, the hardened layer helps to prevent the following:
-
Contamination such as tar, tree sap, bird droppings, and road grime sticking to your paintwork.
-
Prevent oxidation and fading caused by UV exposure.
-
Repel water and dirt, making washing and maintenance much easier, but most importantly KEEPING YOUR CAR CLEANER FOR LONGER.
-
Reduce micro-marring and minor abrasion from everyday use.
-
Enhances gloss levels hugely.
While it offers resistance to minor scratches and swirl marks, it is important to note that a ceramic coating is not scratch-proof and does not protect against rock chips or significant physical damage.
